gundam wing 30th anni amv stuff

bamco released a new short gundam wing mad/amv on july 25 2025. they also released this new 30th anni key visual.

the amv was pretty cool and they managed to make frozen teardrop look cool. to be honest i had completely forgotten frozen teardrop even existed.

it's been like 15 years since i first read some of ft and couldn't get into how fanfic-y it seems, though i do like fanfics. and woah i feel bad saying that now that gqux showed me there can be a whole new level of bad fanfic i didn't even expect. it's "the dragon ball gt -> super" effect again. i don't even want to call gqux a fanfic anymore, that's offensive to fanfics.

needless to say gqux did have a few good points like creating interest towards older series like the original gundam series which is a masterpiece that you should watch instead of listening to people and anime youtubers pushing you to only ever watch netflix seasonal anime, green ojisan x char, kycillya x ishikawa yui chara, and just giving people ammo for fanfic in general etc, but woah it was so bad overall. and now that gqux is over im only more comforted in my opinion i had right after episode 2, saying that even if the series was longer and not rushed it wouldn't be that better.

paraphrasing what two mix's nagano shiina said on twitter with my own words: don't start believing that a ft anime adaptation is coming or something, especially with how messed up the anime industry is and how it took a year just to make this short amv/mad, but if you keep supporting the series maybe a new gundam wing anime will happen.

imo there's definitely going to be a frozen teardrop anime project one day insha Allah once they think it'll make enough money. that's just how everything works. and in a way companies are running out of things to adapt so these things are even more likely to happen. it's one of the reasons why i rarely ever get excited for my hobbies these last 5 years. with the pandemic and the genocide of Palestinians flaring up. though i still keep up with them to avoid going crazy. it's a difficult subject because people will misunderstand and think i'm just depressed or being "how dare you're having fun while the world is in unprecedented crisis". it's more like there's just like not a lot of excitement anymore. we're living in a world where games like seiken 3, aoi umi no tristia, and soukou akki muramasa got officially localized decades after their release. i guess part of it is also growing old and caring less about this world, but it's not just that. look at the science saru gits anime faithful adaptation announcement, i knew this would happen one day so i'm not particularly excited. i guess rather than being excited or not, it's more like nothing surprises me now. there's also how otaku culture is stuck into a loop due to capitalism since the end of the 80s. it's like how crossovers don't actually exist anymore besides super robot wars. really hard to explain stuff. wish i was paid for it.

as a counter example, if sega announced an eternal arcadia remake and a sakura taisen 3 remake tomorrow, i would be very excited, but not particularly surprised. i'd be surprised if they hired me as french consultant for sakura taisen 3 remake.

bamco also announced that okawa genki's show on the gundam youtube channel is scheduled to feature green river as guest on july 26 at 1900 jst. the video will be archived.

hopefully i'll have the time to play srw dd soon. there's the wing zero gundam rebellion second event right now, though i don't really care if i miss it. i talked about the first event on dualshockers back when it happened. im linking the article but i cringe at reading my older stuff so i haven't read it in years and dunno if it's good or not.

in pretty rhythm dear my future, love mix is a reference to two mix, with yong hwa being voiced by two mix's takayama minami. seeing callings got a cg scene for the first time ever in the new king of prism movie, kinpri your endless call, i hope theres gonna be a love mix cg scene in the next kinpri movie.
