Heaven Burns Red PawaPuro Collab Live Stream Oct 2 2025 TL & Fun Moments

The PawaPuro x Heaven Burns Red collab lasts till October 31 at 10h59 JST. At the time of publishing this article (October 30 ~10:00 JST), I still haven't played the event lol. I have 24 hours left. And I need to play it at least three times to see everything lol. I'll try to stream it too insha Allah.

The Heaven Burns Red x Jikkyō Powerful Pro Yakyū collab was first announced during the Heaven Burns Red 3.5 anniversary event on August 3, 2025. Back then they only showed a short teaser, a key visual with Ruka and Pawapuro kun, and said the collab would happen sometime in October. The slogan on the key visual goes" Heaven Burns Red will feature the best baseball anime episode of all time".

In late September, they announced a live stream which would fully reveal the collab. They also teased some of the collab's characters with tweets.

Guest is Aimi who voices Minase Ichigo. "Minase ane" like Higumin says. She decided to wear a blue sports outfit since blue is kinda 31B's color with Aoi and everything.

Announcing a Twitter campaign, 3 fans will be able to win an Aimi baseball signed polaroid. It was blendin with the background. "This time the campaign is only till the end of the stream so make sure to RT now."

Another twitter campaign, one player who tweets their impressions with the PawaPuro collab hashtag #ヘブバンバワブロコラボ will get this tshirt.

KakinumaP: I know you wanna see the collab info ASAP but please wait a little bit more as I explain the current and upcoming updates.

Regarding the Ver 5.14.5 update released the other day, it was an Unity version update, so it was extremely big. Some people couldn't download & update in time, and there were also bugs, so they extended some ongoing campaigns. This was already announced on Twitter.

Announcement trailer for the second Battle Season, starts on October 3 and lasts till November 28. Will have Relic Orbs for Ichigo, Wakki, Irocchi, Minori.

(New accessory introduced with the first Battle Season a few months ago. They're equipped on Orb slot, gives +1000 DP instead of an Orb Skill. It's pretty useful for veterans players who already taught most Orb Skills to their favorite characters).
(It's funny how KakinumaP always says the characters' family names when calling them to not act too friendly and show respect as the game's male producer. That way the weirdest of purity otaku don't get mad. But for characters with siblings he has to call them by their first name or else you don't know which sibling he's talking about, so he does say "Ichigo" and "Minori")

Kakinuma also reassured us and explained that characters' Relic Orbs from previous Battle Seasons will be sold in the Premium Medal show at some point. They aren't permanent missables. Those from Battle Season 1 will be added in late November.

Just like how Astarium #08 lasted all of the first Battle Season, Astarium #09 will last all of the second Battle Season, from Oct 3 to Nov 28. Seems this is the norm now instead of Astarium only lasting for 2-3 weeks. I like this much more as I'd always forget doing it and miss on rewards.

Quick tutorial on Astarium #09boss. Be careful of the attack after its Charge. It'll debuff your SP. You have to aim at reducing its E Shield to zero while it's in the middle of Charging.

(Lotof people in chat were sad it's an E Shield boss again. These are really tricky even for veteran players if you can't make a strong, high Hit rate team of the E Shield's element. Players who own the Karen chan Unison Style are greatly advantaged since her EX Skill hits the E Shield count no matter what element it is. People in chat were like "Oh no it's an E Shield boss again, Karen chan save us".)

(Explanation of the E Shield mechanic if you're unfamiliar: some bosses have an E(lemental) Shield instead of DP gauge. The E Shield has a certain count, usually it starts at 30. And each time you attack the boss with the same element as the E Shield, the count is reduced per the number of Hits. For example if the boss has a Fire E Shield, and you use a Fire Skill or a Fire Normal Attack that hits three times, the count will decrease by 3. Once the count reaches 0, the boss enters Down State like if you reduced his DP gauge to 0, and you can now increase the boss' Devastation Rate. However the Shield restores itself when the boss gets out of Down State.

The accessories in the Asterium shop will be the Darkness elemental 6* necklaces. 6 star necklaces for all elements are out now. I think it took around 1.5 years since their introduction.

Update regarding the status screen that appears in-battle when you do a prolonged tap on a character: basic Abilities that nearly every single chara has anyway like Tsuigeki/follow-up attack and the +% from the Tears upgrade won't display anymore. This will make it easier to see the Abilities that actually matter. They also changed some Unique Abilities' text descriptions so they're easier to understand.

Aimi: This is the first ever collab with something outside of Key franchises too.

(Oh yeah that's true!! This didn't even cross my mind. This means they're open to that. Really looking forward what kind of crazy collab they could do next. Also she said "Key franchises" because the An gel Beats collabs aren't the sole Key collabs in Hebuban. You also had music from various Key games in the Jukebox of Main Story Chapter 4 Part 2).

Kakinuma: so yeah we announced this at the 3.5 anni. It's finally time to reveal it fully. And it'll launch tomorrow Oct 3. We're doing this campaign too. 10 free pulls code that will be revealed during the stream. This is the first part of the code. You need to make an account on the Web Shop and redeem the code there.

Cue everyone acting like they might or might not have figured the code. Fun moment.

KakinumaP: Let's start by introducing what PawaPuro is, though I'm sure most of you are familiar. This is a popular Baseball video game series by Konami Digital Entertainment.

Next they showed an introduction for the first ever PawaPuro mobile game, which is still in operation with over 52 million downloads etc, how it's a popular game thanks to its customization features etc etc, not gonna translate the PR talk.

(But yeah this made me realize this collab is happening because of the PawaPuro sociage. Even though it's extremely rare for two sociage to collab with each other. I wonder if the next collab will also be with a franchise with a currently operational sociage).

Next, KakinumaP revealed Hebuban will have a special Story Event for the collab. The seiyuu were acting like they're surprised. At 37:50 - Aimi's fake reaction in particular was super funny.

(They always do a rehearsal before starting the live stream and check the script, so they know what they're going to talk about. But they don't watch the trailers and illustrations beforehand, so their reactions to those are genuine.)

As the trailer started, people in chat recognized Lolita Senpai is the narrator. I burst out laughing when Asami sensei said "Pawapuro kun is frozen because koshien doesn't exist anymore in our world"

(I think I saw an article/tweet recently about how Koshien must have a lot of issues everyone is willingfully ignoring. Since in a way it's all about training middle and high school kids to death for 4-5 years in the hope of winning the tournament. And how it must also have the corruption usual to major sports competitions, etc etc. It sucks how capitalistic every major sports and cultural event is, full of double standards like "we gonna ban rusisa but not isreal". Etc etc.

I think PawaPuro / PawaPoke itself must talk about all this to a certain extent as I remember one day seeing a screenshot of career mode(?) in PawaPoke, of an event where some evil bastard is trying to coerce your player into sexual favors in return of advancing their career.

I remember I used to at least watch the football world cup like a normal person. But then, in the 2010s, the Brazil WC disgusted me so much as I saw investigations on all the waste and oppression of minorities etc, that I haven't really watched anything since. Same with Olympics. The Japan then Paris Olympics combo really radicalized me against Olympics. There was also a really good JP article talking about the Tokyo Olympics, with the JP government still going through it despite the pandemic, using gaming culture to promote it, etc, and how we shouldn't be otaku who just mindlessly enjoy things. You know the article was good because the author even got some online hate for it from bigots and right-wing dumbasses.)

Aimi: You guys are hype right? You didn't expect it'd be such a huge collab right?? ( I expected they'd do a minigame but didn't expect so many characters would show up).

The story event is titled The Lost World of Baseball Powerful Serafuuzu (KakinumaP couldn't stop himself from laughing a little when saying it). Need to clear Main Story Chapter 1 Day 6 to play the collab, so most newcomers will be able to get to it fast.

The staff also made an arranged brass band version of Burn My Soul for the event. It was playing during most of the stream.

The event will have 8900 free quartz in total by clearing its campaigns. because it's a pun with 8 ya and 9 kyu, yakyuu =baseball.

Some people in chat pointing out Karenchan likes baseball so maybe she'll play some part in the story (I think the first time this was mentioned was in Angel Beats event 2. I don't know if they ever mentioned it in the main story itself lol).

KakinumaP said the scenario for the event was written by Kai and Sorami Kohaku, who both work at Visual Arts

Next, Aimi read the event's pitch, and KakinumaP read the character introductions. We have protagonist Pawapuro kun, and then Hayakawa Aoi , Tachibana Mizuki, and Rokudo Hijiri.

(I'm not familiar with PawaPuro at all so I dunno if these 3 girls exist for decades or were made specifically for the PawaPuro sociage. Seeing they're voiced by recent seiyuu I assume they're new characters. Unless a typical case of seiyuu ageism happened and they replaced their old seiyuu with younger ones for the sociage. And yes I know I could just look it up but it's funnier to speculate this way).

(Random note but Tachibana Mizuki made me think of Gravion as one of the main characters in the series is named Tachibana Mizuki. Really great series Gravion is, though there are many other series I'd recommend watching first. Not that because it's mediocre. But because you need to make sure you're high otaku level enough to tackle it, or else you'll think it's just a series with half-naked girls and robots. If you are strong enough though, you'll realize it's just a series with half-naked girls and robots AND a masterpiece. Like Cross Ange. All among the best series you'll ever see if you are strong enough to withstand them).

Maekawa said Ruka really has a connection with Aoi (Erika) since "Hayakawa Aoi" ends up being Ruka's partner in the collab.

Tachibana Mizuki is voiced by Aimi, so that's the real reason why she's a guest today. Aimi talked a bit more about Mizuki. Saying she's a tsundere, mainly tsun. And she's kinda similar to Ichigo.

Aimi: her blue hair is also why I wore blue today lol, double foreshadowing.

Aimi explained that she and the other PawaPuro characters' seiyuu all recorded together for the event. (Recording for Heaven Burns Red is usually done separately).

Maekawa: Ah so it was a like a PawaPuro recording but at the studio you usually record Heaven Burns Red.

Aimi: Yeah, one day we recorded the pawapuro part and mizuki lines with directions from the PawaPuro director and staff, and then I came back on another day to voice Ichigo's lines with direction from the Hebuban staff.

Aimi: They're really different roles too. Can't say much to avoid spoilers.

Maekawa: Aimi fans will love this event lol.

KakinumaP: The PV also teased a few more characters...

Seiyuu: Woah so cute. And lol the mad scientists are hanging out together loool

Next they explained that the main characters of the event will be Ruka, Ichigo, and Sahara chan (that's how I nickname Hisame).

Aimi: Ichigo's muffler must be so comfortable lol

Maekawa: If I could choose I'd pick that spot too lol

Aimi: Speaking of which, it doesn't feel like Hisamecchi would be into baseball, feels like she got dragged along lol

Kakinuma: We knew some people would think like this, so there's an actual reason why Ogasahara is one of the pivotal characters of the event: She actually becomes a hardcore player of the PawaPuro mobile game.

The seiyuu all burst out laughing. If you look at the screenshot Sahara chan is saying she's been rerolling looooooool.

Next, KakinumaP announced we'll actually play PawaPuro in the event. The event has Free Time every day, and depending on your choices Kayamori's stats will increase in different ways. Stamina or Control. Like a real PawaPuro run.

You can also decide to spend time with people on the base and get hints on how to train and unlock special abilities. Really feels like a collab of both games' systems.

(At this point there were over 52k people watching the stream. I don't remember the numbers that the anniversary streams usually do but this stream might have surpassed them. It's definitely like at least 10 times more the usual audience for the biweekly live stream).

When you clear the event as Ruka, you'll get to play as Ichigo and Sahara chan too. With a different story, different skills, different events on free time, etc. KakinumaP explained the main story will globally be the same but told from their perspective.

Lastly, we'll be able to share our run results on social media. It's really like they made a pawapuro hebuban spinoff game within the game.

KakinumaP: Btw earlier we said Ichigo is pitcher and Ogasahara is catcher, but since Ruka is a dual wielder, she can play both roles. (Oooooh looool that's the reason that's clever).

Aimi noted how you can see her breath a little, indicating they've been training and how intricate the illustration is. The other seiyuu were praising Aimi for noticing that, I didn't notice either lol.

Aimi: I'm really happy I got to voice Ichigo and that she likes basbeall and how it all led up to all this. I'm gonna brag to my parents about it looool (I guess they're into baseball too)

Amami: But yeah she got a really healthy midriff there. She's a healthy girl and people watching will get healthy too. (looooooool)

First will be the Ruka banner starting October 3, and then the Ichigo banner will start on Oct 10. They have shared pity points. They have a separate bonus gauge.

New buff/debuff - Yaruki/Player Condition

PawaPuro Styles/Memorias has a passive LB0 Ability, Play Ball, that gives random Yaruki/Condition to all party members at the start of battle.

So this is a new permanent debuff/buff called Yaruki/player condition that triggers with these PawaPuro collab Styles.

You gain Condition by recovering DP from active skills, you loose Condition by taking damage. KakinumaP explained they wanted to make a system similar to PawaPuro games. And they're using the actual icons from PawaPuro and Konami sports games looool.

When you're in Best Condition, you get +50 to all stats. That's nearly as much as the bonus boost you can give yourself using Tears in Anachronia Boss mode. So this is really strong.

KakinumaP explained Condition can vary several times in the same turn, so for example if you start at Normal and get healed twice on the same turn, you'll be at Best, and the effects are immediate, so if the character hasn't attacked yet on that turn, they'll have the +50 stats buff.

Skills and Abilities

Ruka's EX Skill - "Moyase Seishun! Marine Ball!" : 16 SP. Light Element attack on one enemy. Increases Ruka's Skill ATK for 3 Turns (Independent buff), +50% HP DMG. Effects varies depending on new Yaruki/condition buff:

Low condition: The EX Skill causes defense debuff for 1 turn
normal condition: EX Skill causes Light defense debuff for 1 turn on top of the above debuff
good condition: light defense and defense debuff for 1 turn on top of the above debuffs (so it's still one turn, but doubled effect)
best condition: all debuffs above + half SP cost.

Aimi was like "btw did you play test the Yaruki system properly loool, don't you get screwed over if you have all your party members start at worst condition?" so they talked about the percentages:

The Condition you get at the start of the battle depends on luck:
There's a 15% change to get Best
35% chance to get Good
40% change to get Normal
9% chance to get Bad
1% chance to get Worst

KakinumaP said they made it so it's mainly beneficial. You only have a 10% chance of getting a bad Condition. They also joked about his legendary bad luck and how he got Worst condition several times when play testing the system.

Ruka has another Limit Break 0 ability: If she's in Best condition at the start of enemy turn, she'll negate debuffs targeting her for one turn.

LB1 Ability: +1SP at the beginning of the turn if she's at Good condition or above

LB 3 Ability: When executing commands, +10% Skill ATK to all party members for each party member who's in Good condition or above (maximum +30%).

Lastly, she has a Passive Skill she can equip. If she's on the front row when Executing Commands, enemies get -10% Defense.

Ichigo EX Skill - "Tsukame Eikan! Grand Slam!". 16 SP. Light Element buff. Expands a Great Light elemental field for 8 turns, puts all party members in Best Condition, gives +3 Great DMG Hit to all Light Style party members.

Moreover Ichigo has a Passive Skill - "Sokkou Maru", if equipped, her EX Skill costs half SP for two turns after the start of the battle.

This is hella strong. Everyone was shocked. The seiyuu were joking about how they should call Worst Condition "Kakinuma stance", and how Ichigo's EX skill is "reverse Kakinuma stance". They were like "Even if you've got horrible luck like Kakinuma san just get Ichigo and you'll be fine" looooool.

Ichigo has the same Play Ball Limit Break 0 ability as Ruka: gives a random Yaruki/Condition to all party members at the start of battle.

Ichigo's other LB0 Ability: If she's in Best condition at the start of enemy turn, she'll negate debuffs targeting her for one turn. This is the same as Ruka but the name is different. For Ruka it's called Fukutsu no Tamashii. For Ichigo it's called Meikyou Shisui.

LB1 Ability: +1SP at the beginning of the turn to all allies who are in Best Condition. Cue hilarious moment at 01:27:03 - This ability is called ZEKKOUCHOU ONNA so the seiyuu burst out laughing and were like "we gotta call Ichigo that now". I feel bad I can't figure out a way to translate this in a way that would show why it's so funny even if you don't know any JP.

LB3 Ability: When Executing Commands, +10% Skill ATK to all party members for each party member who's in Good condition or above (maximum +30%). Same as Ruka. The name is identical too, Special Tag.

S Style Ogasahara Hisame - Tensai ni Tehodoki

She has the Play Ball LB0 Ability too. So you can play around with the Condition system even if yo udon't pull Ruka or Ichigo. And her LB Abilities (which you get for free by buying her coins in the event shop) are really good.

Her LB 3 is +10% overdrive gauge if there's an ally who's in Good Condition or above.

Her LB 10 gives +1 SP per turn to all allies in Best Condition. So if you pair her up with ichigo this is really really good. Even if it's an S Style this makes it one of the most useful Styles in the game.

(I double checked and on the official site Ichigo's birthday is listed as January 15, so Aimi got it wrong. I can't figure out myself why she's number 13. Maybe they explain it in the Event Story).

Kakinuma: We'll try to do it in three turns, for three strikes, well without counting overdrive.

Hilarious moment with KakinumaP managing to roll Worst Condition on Hisamecchi even though it's a 1% chance. They couldn't stop laughing.

I don't summarize all the banter during the gameplay part or it'd take me forever, but let it be known that this time it was hilarious too; With Maekawa imitating the Cancer boss as usual. And being like "I'm getting beat up by Baseball and can't do anything..."

Special login bonus a bit different than usual. You always get 1 SS puzzle ticket, (get 10 for a free random SS Style) but can get 100 150 or 200 Quartz depending on how you decide to bat against PawaPuro kun's pitch. If you pick the right choice you get 200 Quartz, or else 100 or 150 Quartz. (A lot of Cygames sociage do stuff like this sometimes, like the races when logging in Priconne).

Aimi: I was really surprised when I first heard about the collab and got my scripts. My two characters from different franchises got to talk to each other. And the story is very Hebuban-like, filled with jokes and sad moments. The event really encompasses what the game is about. It's gonna be really good. Lets all pull the gacha tomorrow lolol.

Amami: First off I wanna thank you all for watching this stream for nearly 2 hours. So Hebuban already did intricate collabs before, but this one has a different feel to it. I never expected they'd be so many game systems specifically made for the collab. Also I'm really looking forward to Aimi and Aimi talking with each other. As a player myself I'm really excited lol. Really interested in the pairs in the collab. Also I'm sure you noticed there's a certain character who seemed to show up a lot in the trailer and screenshots so look forward to that too (She's talking about Adelnantoka chan).

Amami: This stream was so much fun. I mean they're always fun, but today was special. Also the characters in Pawatai form are so cute. You can feel how invested the designers were with all the systems in the collab too. There's Famitsu interviews too. Also don't forget the collab to win the Aimi san polaroid, it's ending in a few minutes!!

Kakinuma san: Thank you for watching the stream. I talked a lot today lol I hope you will enjoy the event. I also want to take the occasion to thank everyone at Konami for their cooperation and letting us do this collab together. They helped us a lot in order to make this event into something that represents both of our franchises at their best. Also I already read Aimi's interview in Famitsu, and she talks about her feelings voicing Ichigo too. It was really heartwarming and encouraging for us developers, and we need to make sure to answer these expectations.

Also this is a slight tangent but even though the previous stream in September revealed a new Maria S Style, the Burichan 31X event, and the new SS Styles for Burichan and Sharo, Maria's seiyuu Azuki Yuune hasn't tweeted anything about it. She hasn't tweeted at all actually since June. Maria is my number 1 favorite character in the game and Azuki Yuune is legit one of my favorite post 2020 newcomer seiyuu. So I hope she's just taking a break from social media.

There are so many seiyuu in Hebuban who got replaced already... The seiyuu industry is so difficult to live through as a newcomer. There isn't a single newbie seiyuu who isn't extremely talented, but only a few of them end up becoming popular and being able to eat via their seiyuu job. The current anime/game/sociage industry is deeply messed up with the ageism regarding expansive veteran female seiyuu, but young newcomer seiyuu have it extremely rough too. They're treated like cogs in a machine, cheap and easily replaceable. It really sucks. The most ironic thing is that they're actually so talented that if not for the official announcements, most people wouldn't notice that some of the characters' seiyuu changed. Akarin, who is my 2nd most favorite character, got her seiyuu changed and her voice is barely any different.
