Nitroplus Publishes Full Metal Daemon Muramasa 15th Anniversary Discussion Featuring namanikuATK & Ishiwata Makoto
Nitroplus published a one hour discussion (divided in 3 vids) for the 15th anniversary of Full Metal Daemon Muramasa featuring character designer namanikuATK and mecha designer Ishiwata Makoto.
The duo notes at the beginning of the discussion that they will bring up spoilers though, so as a huge Muramasa fan who never played the game I only skimmed through the videos. Insha Allah I'll be able to finish the game and listen to these in a few months.
At least I can pat myself on the back as I did finish Aoi Umi no Tristia this year. That was one of my biggest "games I always wanted to play since I was a kid but never could and would like to discuss with my hypothetical future wife one day".
Now I already planned to play Kita e next and a few other things, so I can't get to FMDM right now.
Thanks to the hard work of the teams at JAST USA, Souko Akki Muramasa got a really good English version in 2021. You should definitely play it if you haven't yet.
Also writing this reminded me of how sometimes under pressure as an SEO drone, I was pushed to write some really stupid things. Basically would write the first thing that came to mind without thinking, so that I could quickly move on to something else to reach my quota. One of those things is IIRC in a post about the English release of Muramasa, I said something like "Muramasa is hard to translate because of its vertical text boxes" instead of the script itself. (I could just check my Authory to see what exactly I wrote but reading these SEO drone era posts make me cringe too much).
Nitroplus also released Dolls Nest this year. I've been streaming the game myself actually and I'm probably close to the ending. It's by far one of the best games released this year but you'll never hear about it at any of Keira Knightley's Brother's Birthday Parties オブザイヤー .
As a side note, Ishiwata Makoto was also one of the mecha designers on Valvrave, one of my favorite series of the 2010s. Don't listen to the dumbasses saying it's bad. Oh and this reminds me, don't listen to the dumbasses saying it's useless to share and care about fundraisings for Palestinians, that they're all scams etc. And follow the work of journalists like Molly Shah.
