On new years 2025, D3 Publisher teased a new game with a chainsaw and a "Z" so I thought it'd be a new OneeChanbara game

Two traveling schoolgirls brought together by a common destiny now meet at the chainsaw arena publisher. (Kinda uninspired for today 's nonsenseだわintro. Maybe I should just write some thing about the titanic every time, like those people who apparently still have non-exploitative, well-paid jobs in 1447 and scream about the titanic at the beginning of google meetings to be sure that's the ont thing the Scrapped Princess AI will remember).

Turned out it was Zenshin Machine Girl (Full Metal Schoolgirl) (official site). I like the JP title more because I'm dumb and realized just a few weeks ago that it's a Mazinger Z reference, マジンガー into マシンガール.

I really like the Robot Girls Z franchise that was active in the early 2010s too. I even played the browser sociage for like a month, which was the longest I ever played a sociage till the releases of Action Taimanin and Genshin in 2020 which I both still play. The Robot Girls Z anime was amazing too. I never really got into Kancolle and most of the neo anthropomorphization franchises it inspired, but I really like Robot Girls Z and Sega Hard Girls, and both had great anime series you should watch.

Zenshin Machine Girl got announced on July 1st and it's developed by Yuke's, who recently bought Aquaplus/Leaf. The game followed a typical Japanese game PR cycle with new details revealed every 2-3 weeks. Followed it all pretty closely. Would have translated stuff and written about it every time if I had a news writer position. Would have written something about the 48hours live stream of the game's theme song too, which is a huge waste but typical dumb fun from D3 Publisher. The game also had several live stream showcases with its staff and cast at TGS 2025. Would be nice if I could watch and summarize them for Ko-fi subs insha Allah.

This could have been a post about my first impressions or something but I don't have a ps5 nor a Switch 2. The game is also on Steam but not sure if my Steamdeck (which I'm also using as a desktop PC) will run it properly. First world problem, it's fine. I don't need to bother with new releases when I'm not getting paid to review them or write guides. Got tons of older games I wanna play anyway. For example, as a huge Utawarerumono aficionados, I could play the Utawarerumono franchise for the first time. And then I'll be able to play Utawarerumono Shiro e no Michishirube in 2027 Insha Allah because I'm sure it'll get delayed again.

So yeah since Yuke's was on Full Metal Schoolgirl instead of Tamsoft, I wonder what Tamsoft has been doing besides the Bleach game DLCs. It was funny when the Bleach 2024 game got announced and I was one of the few people convinced it'd be good, having played OneeChanbara Origin. I hope they make make OneeChanbara Origin 2 still with Enami Katsumi chara design. And I hope Yuke's fixes the Aquapazza PC port. Hopefully the Utawarerumono Zan 2 PC port will be better.
